While police are yet to specify where the speed was measured, a photo posted to social media by the Baw Baw Police Service Area shows a car being loaded onto a towing vehicle on Princes Highway.
The highway speed limit through most of the Trafalgar township is 60kph, with several traffic lights and other intersections on the stretch of road.
