The Sporty’s last night will come on Saturday 16 June.

Opening 23 years ago, the Queen Street club has been a long-time weekend feature for West Gippsland. It has previously gone by the names Jim’s Sports Bar, Retro Room, and The Dirt Bar.

“We’ve had more fun than you can even imagine hosting Warragul’s biggest party week in week out,” organisers said on social media.

“To all of our amazing and loyal patrons, we thank you! We’re sad to see The Sporty go but super excited for our future with The Railway Lounge!”
