THE FUTURE of public transport in Baw Baw will be discussed at a forum in Warragul on Tuesday (23 June) night.
The consultation session, to be held at 18:00 in Federation Training’s tearooms (access via Queen Street), will be run as part of the state Labor government’s review into regional public transport.

A pop-up consultation session facility will also be set up for the morning peak.
Consultation sessions will be held across Gippsland this week. Local Labor MP Harriet Shing said input was a must for anyone wanting improvements to public transport.
“If you live in Gippsland and care about better train and bus services, get down to one of the sessions, collect a survey from a train station or fill out the survey online,” she said in a media release.
“Public transport users in Gippsland know firsthand the improvements that need to be made. Participation in this planning and consultation process will help ensure Gippsland receives a fair share of future investment in comparison with the rest of regional Victoria.”

It was a very well-facilitated workshop process which allowed everyone to personally have their say via the written avenue as well as being able to tease out consensus about the big issues via the group discussions. The PTV people in attendance were attentive and sympathetic. Hopefully it leads to positive change.
