Warragul: man charged over stalking and sexual threat allegations

A man has been charged following allegations of stalking and threats to commit a sexual offence in Warragul’s Brooker Park.

“Baw Baw Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses following a number of alleged stalking incidents in Warragul since September last year,” police spokesperson Leonie Johnson said in a media release.

“A 37-year-old man was arrested in Brooker Park last night and charged with a number of stalking, threat to commit sexual offence and other related offences.

“He will appear in Latrobe Valley Magistrates’ Court this afternoon.

“The charges relate to a number of incidents where women were allegedly approached by a man in Brooker Park and a number of inappropriate comments were made.

“The investigation remains ongoing.
