Bureau warns of damaging winds expected tomorrow

THE BUREAU OF Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for parts of West, South and East Gippsland forecast districts tomorrow.
The Bureau is forecasting damaging winds averaging between 50 and 60 km/h will hit tomorrow morning.

Peak wind speeds are expected to reach around 90 km/h.
The State Emergency Service has issued the following advice:
■ Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
■ Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony.
■ Keep clear of fallen power lines.
■ Don’t drive, ride or walk through flood water.
■ Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
■ Beware of fallen trees or debris on the road.
