Sounds of success: 3BBR FM gets licence renewal

WEST Gippsland Community Radio can continue to broadcast until 2018 after its license renewal application was successful.

Secretary Lynn Wells told The Warragul Citizen the renewal process was demanding.

“The Licence Renewal process is a complete audit of our management and planning, repeated every five years,” Ms Wells said.

“Success is a tribute to all our volunteers, and to the listeners who supported our case for renewal.

“Listeners will be happy to know that 3BBR FM’s place on the airwaves is secured until 2018.”

The station will have to go through the license renewal process again in 2017.
