Bottle shop bandits: Warragul police hunt thirsty thieves

POLICE are seeking information on a theft from Smith Street bottle shop The Press Cellars earlier this month.

A Warragul Police spokesperson said a man distracted a shop attendant while a woman placed a bottle of Scotch whisky in her bag.

The woman became angry when asked to show her bag to the attendant, yelling and swearing before leaving the store without paying.

The theft took place at 5.30pm on Sunday December 9.

The man is described as being about 165 centimetres tall with “distinctive” long bleach blonde hair. He was wearing a checked jacket at the time of the theft.

The woman is about 183 centimetres tall with collar-length blonde/brown hair. She was wearing a cream coloured top and black leggings at the time of the theft.
