Burke Street playground set to open in three weeks

THE NEW Burke Street Park playground will open in three weeks while renovation works at the park continue.

A Baw Baw Shire Council Facebook update said renovation works near the playground will continue into March.

“Everything is on track for the playground to be open again in three weeks,” the update read.

“We are waiting on a liberty swing – which will not be installed until March.

“The slate has now been laid and work on concrete paths has commenced.

“Garden beds will be the last things to go in once the concreting has been finished.”

Other projects in the park’s renovation include the planting of a “sensory garden” and the installation of further play equipment.
