WATER SUPPLY to parts of Queen and Victoria streets has been interrupted after a Warragul water main burst this morning.

A Baw Baw Shire Council spokesperson said repairs to the burst pipe on Queen Street will not begin until 6pm, after which water may be shut off “for several hours” while Gippsland Water crews work to fix the fault.

Addresses along Victoria Street between Queen and Alford streets are likely to lose water during that period.

Repair crews have been in the area since this morning.

The burst pipe caused delays to traffic travelling on Queen Street this morning. The repair works have been timed to minimise further disruption.
