Two police officers and at least four other people were also treated for exposure to the fumes at the scene before being taken to Warragul Hospital.
A Warragul Fire Brigade spokesperson told The Warragul Citizen the incident attracted the attention of the Amsterdam Amstelland Fire Department, which contacted the brigade to discuss what happened in a bid to help prevent similar incidents in farming communities there.
WorkSafe and police will investigate the incident.
