Rogers Road in Trafalgar South has been temporarily re-opened after a severe landslip caused the road to be closed earlier this year.

The road will be closed again in January for at least two weeks for sealing.

McDonalds Track in Mountain View has also been re-opened after another landslip saw the road closed early last month.

Reinstatement works on the slip located 2.7 kilometres from Mountain View Road began on the 12th of December.

The Baw Baw Shire Council announced late last month that Rogers Road, McDonalds Track and Yarragon-Leongatha Road in Yarragon South will be re-opened by the end of the year. Yarragon-Leongatha Road was re-opened earlier this month, and the temporary re-opening of Rogers Road will allow the council to reach its goal.

Works on 118 of 142 landslips to have occurred across the Baw Baw Shire early this year have been finished.

In a bid to prevent future landslips the council recently planted trees in landslip-prone areas beside Rogers Road.

North Canal Roadin Trafalgar East andRosatos Roadin Moe South will remain closed into 2012.
