The name was chosen at the request of the Committee for Drouin in recognition of the town’s annual Ficifolia Festival.

On tabling the motion at last week’s council meeting, Drouin ward councillor Tricia Jones said the recent redevelopment of the lane was a community effort.

“It was a community project which many people and children were involved in,” Cr Jones said.
