Seed you later: A leaked cabinet document has revealed Warragul’s Wattleseed Training Restaurant will close this year.

LEAKED Baillieu Government cabinet documents reveal GippsTAFE Warragul’s Wattleseed Training Restaurant will close this year.

Eastern Victoria Labor MP Matt Viney made the revelation in a media release today and a spokesperson for GippsTAFE told The Warragul Citizen the information is correct.

GippsTAFE told The Warragul Citizen last month “no firm decision” had been made on the future of the restaurant at that time.

The decision comes after cuts to TAFE funding in the 2012-13 State Budget.

The TAFE’s Waratah Training Restaurant in Morwell will remain open.

Mr Viney said the leaked documents “reveal asset sales, sell offs, fee rises, courses cuts and staff being made redundant across every TAFE in the state.”
