A bushwalker who did not return to their north east Baw Baw campsite yesterday has been found safe.

According to Victoria Police, fellow walkers raised the alarm when the 77-year-old failed to return to their campsite in Caringal after splitting from the main group at around 3pm.

Caringal is located south of the Baw Baw National Park, north of the Moondarra State Park, and east of Erica, Rawson, and Walhalla.
