Low councillor attendance at Wednesday’s Baw Baw Shire Council meeting has seen two motions postponed until next fortnight’s meeting when enough councillors will be available to vote.

Four councillors were not in attendance at the meeting, meaning only five councillors were left to vote.

The Baw Baw Shire Council’s quorum is five councillors, however due to conflicts of interest this could not be achieved on two motions.

Motions 9.2, Planning Scheme Amendment C90 – Heritage, and 11.1, Community Sponsorship Funding Request, could not be voted on due to conflicts from Councillors Diane Blackwood and Bill Harrington respectively, but 11.1 was split to allow one funding request to be approved.

Councillor Peter Kostos was away on business, Councillor Patricia Jones was ill, and Councillors Tony Wolfe and Adam Tyson were away on planned leave.
