One dead after car rolls in Warragul

A MAN believed to be in his late 30s has died after the vehicle he was travelling in rolled on Solomons Road, Warragul, this evening.

Police said in a media release the male driver, believed to be in his late 20s, lost control of the dual cab ute which rolled at around 7.30pm.

The driver was taken to West Gippsland Hospital while a rear seat passenger, also believed to be in his late 20s, refused treatment.

The man in his 30s was travelling in the front passenger seat and died at the scene. He was the 39th person to die on Victoria’s roads this year.

Update (12.34pm 22/2): Police said the man was from Buln Buln.
