Police worked to recover the car from the river earlier this afternoon.

Stickers on the vehicle’s windows include one with the text “such is life” next to an image of Ned Kelly’s helmet, and another with “Nooj Pub” in large letters.

“If anyone has any information about how this vehicle came to be [in the river], please contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000,” a spokesperson said.
