POLICE are investigating an incident where a ute without registration plates drove off after hitting another car in a dangerous overtake in Warragul on Monday.

A Warragul Police spokesperson told media the collision occurred on the Drouin exit of the Princes Way and Crole Drive intersection at around 1pm.

“The offending vehicle, a white coloured Toyota Hilux with a rear canopy and no plates, attempted to overtake a green Ford sedan also travelling… towards Drouin,” the spokesperson said.

“The offending vehicle moved onto the gravel shoulder and accelerated past the Ford and clipped the side of the vehicle as it manoeuvred back onto the road.”

Anyone with information about the incident should contact Warragul Police on 5622 7111, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
