Update: Power back on for most homes in Trafalgar and Thorpdale

Power has been restored to all but about 30 homes in Trafalgar after it was cut to the town and Thorpdale this morning.

An SP AusNet spokesperson told The Warragul Citizen the remaining homes will be reconnected by 9pm.

SP AusNet crews are working to restore power to almost 1,000 customers in Trafalgar and Thorpdale after a power line fell this morning.

A CFA spokesperson told The Warragul Citizen the fallen line is believed to have caused a small grassfire between the railway and Telegraph Road, which firefighters controlled at around 10.15am.

An SP AusNet spokesperson said over 900 customers in Trafalgar and Thorpdale remain without power.

Another 13,000 customers were reconnected after a fault at the Moe substation this morning.

The spokesperson said it is hoped Trafalgar and Thorpdale customers will be reconnected by mid-afternoon.
