Repairs to Yarragon-Leongatha Road have been completed eight months after heavy rain caused a landslip which forced the road’s closure.

Residents have had to take an approximately 25 kilometre detour since April because of the slip.

Yarragon-Leongatha Road is one of three landslip-damaged roads expected to be re-opened this year. The other two are Rogers Road in Trafalgar South and McDonalds Track in Mountain View.

Yarragon-Leongatha Road is the first of the three to have re-opened.

Two landslip-affected roads will remain closed into the new year; these are North Canal Road in Trafalgar East and Rosatos Road in Moe South.
