YARRAGON’S Woolly Yarns and the West Gippy Group are among over 45 Gippsland groups and individuals whose work will feature in The Johnson Collection’s 2015 Christmas exhibition.

The Johnson Collection is a museum of fine and decorative arts in Fairhall, East Melbourne. Its annual Christmas show is presented by a different region every year.

This year Creative Gippsland will take the reigns; the first time artists from Gippsland have presented works at Fairhall.

The show will feature over 180 new creations from six Gippsland municipalities.

In a media release, Baw Baw mayor Debbie Brown said “it’s certainly something that we can be proud of as a region; that the Baw Baw Shire arts scene and those of our neighbouring Gippsland municipalities have this occasion to showcase our best talent and creative minds.”

Geelong, Bendigo, Castlemaine, Ballarat, Wangaratta and north-east Victoria, Warrnambool and south-west Victoria, and the Mornington Peninsula have all previously presented at the annual exhibition.

The exhibition will be open from Thursday 5 November 2015 to Wednesday 24 February 2016.
