We don’t ♥ this: The Mayor says graffiti attacks on the Civic Park public toilets impact on the whole community. Images: Supplied.

Graffiti attacks on the Civic Park public toilets in Drouin last week will cost the council around $1000 to clean up.

A Baw Baw Shire Council spokesperson told The Warragul Citizen $600 of the cost comes from hiring contractors to remove paint which council workers are unable to clean off.

Baw Baw Shire Mayor Diane Blackwood condemned the offenders.

“The people who are committing these offences need to understand that they impact on the whole community,” Cr Blackwood said.

“The graffiti makes the toilet blocks seem dirty, which puts people off using them.”

“It also takes council staff and money from other, more worthwhile projects.”

The graffiti includes the word “nigga” written on the wall of a toilet cubicle.

  2. Hi aiden,
The images were supplied by the Baw Baw Shire Council – would be happy to do a story about your desire to keep the skate park graffiti though!
