Palmerston Street works to remove lane, add parking

Works to make part of Warragul’s Palmerston Street one way will continue for several weeks.

As well as removal of the west-bound lane between Smith and Victoria streets, works will include streetscape renewal and major water and drainage improvements.

Importantly to many, the creation of four extra parking spaces will raise the total number on that part of the street to 36.

Most works are being carried our after 6pm and on weekends and during the day on weekends, minimising impact on many retailers in the area.

Landscaping works will see new trees and gardens planted, as well as wider and resurfaced pavements.

A version of this story first appeared in the 25 February Baw Baw In Brief, which you can watch in full here:

Very nice I am sure. I wonder if those new parking spaces will be given to disabled drivers who at the moment have none?

  2. John Doe says:

I wonder if Frankies bankrolled this project as part of their ongoing expansion and effort to take over the entire town?
