Update (22 April, 11.05am): Police have confirmed that the restaurant targeted was the Courthouse Restaurant and the offenders escaped over the fence between the Department of Justice and the Courthouse. Alcohol stolen included slabs of Jack Daniels, Tooheys Dry and Pure Blonde.

In both incidents three men wearing hoodies escaped with a number of slabs of alcohol after breaking into a cool room at the rear of the venue.

Police said the first incident occurred at around 10.40pm on Sunday, while the second occurred at around 9.15pm on Tuesday.

A chair was used to scale a fence out of the venue into an adjacent property, after which the offenders walked through a car park behind the restaurant.

The men covered their faces during the thefts, but police have released CCTV images of people they are seeking the identity of.

does anyone else find it ironic that the courthouse restaurant backs onto the car park for the police station..?

  2. wendy mather says:

sorry taffy, but i cant see the problem, if thats what you are inferring. the car park you speak of is actually a public car park servicing many, not just the police station. not that that should make any difference to the crime anyway.
