ANZAC Day success for Warragul Cycling Club

THE WARRAGUL Cycling Club had great success at the ANZAC Day Autumn Classic late last month with the club’s riders placing well in three out of four grades.

Fifty-eight riders from across Gippsland competed in the Stratford to Bairnsdale race.

Warragul riders took out all podium positions in A grade, with Brenton Jones taking first place, followed by Cy Monk in second and Jayden Manintveld in third from a break of seven riders.

Matt Parkinson took third in B grade, being passed near the line after leading the final sprint.

C grade was won by Col Brown by nearly five minutes.

D grade was won by Ben Stein.
