GIPPY SOCCER LEAGUE • Drouin Under 16 Mixed has continued its stellar season with a 5-0 victory over Phillip Island on Sunday.

The win comes after 7-1 wins over Leongatha Knights and Korumburra City, and coach Jon Ercoles told the Baw Baw Citizen he expects the team will be in the finals.

“The boys have already got it in their heads that they’re going to play the finals, so I’ve got a feeling we’re going to play finals. The mood of the team tells it all,” he said.

“The kids love it, they’re enjoying themselves. At the end of the day it’s not about winning or losing, it’s about having a good time.”
