Gippsland Youth Girls teams to play for breast cancer awareness

GIPPSLAND Youth Girls League players will compete with each other in an AFL round robin to raise awareness for breast cancer in Neerim South tonight.

Teams from Warragul, Morwell, Yarram and Dalyston will play two 24-minute matches from 18:00 at the Neerim South football ground.

Gold coin donations for entry will contribute to the efforts of the Breast Cancer Network Australia in supporting those dealing with the disease.

The night will kick off with a game between Warragul and Morwell.

Teams from Yarra and Dalyston will then battle it out.

At 19:10, photographs of the teams will be taken and awards from other rounds will be provided to the players.

The losers from the previous two matches will them play against each other.

Then, the winners from the other games will contend for victory.

Presentations will then take place at 20:30.

AFL Gippsland has encouraged community members to attend and enjoy the night.
