CLUBS have been advised they will have to use alternate stadium facilities for around half of summer while the Warragul Leisure Centre’s roof is upgraded.
The Warragul stadium will be closed from 15 December until the end of January while its roof is upgraded.

The Baw Baw Shire Council has suggested local clubs and stadium users use Drouin’s recently-upgraded Bellbird Park Indoor Centre instead.
Works will involve new cladding being fitted to the Warragul Leisure Centre stadium to address condensation issues and, according to a council spokesperson, “make the roof more aesthetically pleasing.”
The upgrades are part of the larger leisure centre redevelopment which saw the aquatics centre closed at the start of April. The aquatics centre is expected to reopen in July 2016.
Baw Baw mayor Debbie Brown said the new roof would compliment the other upgrades at the centre.

“Upgrading the Warragul Leisure Centre’s stadium roof as part of the larger works being undertaken at the centre will enhance the facility and address issues that have been experienced by condensation problems in the past,” Cr Brown said in a media release.
“We understand that this has been an issue for all users of the facility for some time and are pleased to be able to fix the roof as part of the redevelopment and produce a quality stadium for our community to use.
“The works will cause some inconvenience to our users and we thank them for their patience during this time.”
