Drouin footy clubrooms booze burglary

A break-in at the Drouin Football Ground clubrooms on Monday night caused $500 damage for the sake of alcohol valued at $60.

A police spokesperson told The Warragul Citizen they are seeking information on the burgulary, which occurred at 10.18pm.

“Unknown offenders have gained entry to the Drouin Football Ground clubrooms by smashing the bottom window pane of the main door,” the spokesperson said.

“Once inside the clubrooms they have accessed a drinks fridge and stolen about 12 UDL cans.

“An audible alarm was activated at the time of entry which in turn activated an automated call to a club member who attended the rooms and contacted police.

“Damage to the window is about $500 with the stolen alcohol valued at about $60.

“The clubrooms were burgled several times during March and April 2013 with offenders being processed for these offences.”
